Tougei Techo is a digital notebook app specialized for pottery recording. You can centrally manage process photos of your pieces, glaze recipes, firing temperature progressions, and more. It works offline, and all data is safely stored on your phone.
You can save mixing ratios and suppliers for each glaze and link them to your pieces. By recording test recipes and firing results, you'll never repeat the same mistake. You can manage detailed information including base glaze types, additive ratios, and combinations with firing temperatures.
You can record kiln temperature changes in graphs and compare them with past data. Visualize the relationship between reduction/oxidation and temperature progression to pursue your ideal firing. Recording is typically at 30-minute intervals, but can be adjusted to your needs. Graphs can be saved as images and exported as CSV, making record management easy.
You can record each step—wheel throwing, bisque firing, glazing, final firing—with photos. Review them chronologically and visualize your work's growth. You can leave notes at each step, so you can record "what techniques I tried at this point."
You can save up to 10 photos per process for each piece. Photos are stored on your phone, so the number of photos you can save depends on your phone's storage capacity. If you're concerned about capacity, we recommend periodically deleting unnecessary photos.
Yes, it works completely offline. No internet connection is required, and all data (including photos) is stored on your phone. Even if there's no signal in your studio, you can record and view without any problems.
You can complete everything on your smartphone. Take photos in your studio and record them on the spot, checking data immediately. This is a mobile app only, with data stored on your phone.
Compatible with iOS 14.0 or later (iPhone) and Android 8.0 or later smartphones and tablets. Mobile app only—no computer version available.
The app itself is about 50MB. Saved photo data is stored on your phone, so the number of photos you can store depends on your storage capacity.

Basic features are available for free. All major features including piece recording, glaze management, and firing graphs are free. We may add paid plans in the future, but features you're currently using will not suddenly become unavailable.
Currently only a free plan is available. In the future, we're considering paid plans with advanced analysis features and group management, but we plan to continue offering basic features for free.
Ads are displayed in the free version. Ads appear at the bottom of the screen or during page transitions, but we've designed them not to interfere with your recording work. We're also considering an ad-free paid plan in the future.
Pre-registered users will receive priority notification at official release. We'll also send you update information and usage tips by email.
Data is stored on your phone. Firing graphs can be exported in CSV or image format for backup. When changing phones, we recommend using your OS's standard backup features (iCloud or Google Drive).
Your data is completely private. Even the operators will not access personal data except when necessary. We will never sell or provide it to third parties.
When you delete your account, all data (pieces, photos, glazes, firing records, etc.) will be completely deleted. Data cannot be restored after deletion, so please use the export feature to back up if needed before deleting.
Firing graphs can be exported in CSV format or as images. Piece and glaze data currently don't have export features, but are safely stored on your phone.

While designed specifically for pottery, some features like process photo recording and material management can be applied to other creative activities. However, since pottery-specific features like glazes and firing are central, some features may be difficult to utilize for other fields.
Commercial use such as individual artist activities or studio operations is permitted. However, unauthorized reproduction or reprinting of the app's features or screens is prohibited. Please refer to the Terms of Service for details.
